Pupil, parent and staff voices on wellbeing impact
I have learnt that you are not alone with your feelings and there is help available, we also have well-being notice boards, we have done yoga and mindfulness with breathing. There is always someone to talk to. (yr 6 pupil)
By engaging in the wellbeing activities myself, I have noticed the positive benefits of mindfulness, as they set up the mind up for busy days ahead. The Children appear happier and are more relaxed, after completing the sessions. They love having the freedom to participate in these activities.
“My child is learning so much about wellbeing and mental health, she is sharing her learning at home with the rest of the family, we now all have special time to reflect on our feelings in the home, and my daughter has invited us to start doing this at home. She shows a real keen interest in wellbeing and really enjoys the Yoga and Mindfulness sessions. The wellbeing approach at Lessness is having a positive impact on our whole family.
