Admission to Reception Class 2019/2020
If your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015, he or she can start school in September 2019.
If you live in the London Borough of Bexley, you can apply online via the London Grid for Learning e-admissions website. Or you can download the ParentComm app (by Atomwide) from the Apple App Store or Google Play to a mobile phone or tablet. A copy of the Admission to Primary Schools 2019/2020 booklet can be found here. Please read the booklet carefully before completing your application, to give yourself the best chance of being offered one of your preferred schools. It is advised to include your closest school as one of your preferences to give you the best chance of being offered a school local to your house.
You can also collect a paper application form from the London Borough of Bexley. You can apply for up to six schools, whether in Bexley or other areas. If you do not live in Bexley, you should apply through your home local authority, and you can list schools in Bexley on your form.
The closing date for applications is 15 January 2019. If your application is late, it will not be dealt with until all on time applications have been processed and it may not be possible to offer a place at one of your preferred schools.
If you apply online, you will receive an email with the outcome of your application during the evening of 16 April 2019. Offers to paper applicants will be made by letter, posted on national offer day by first class mail.
More information is available on the Bexley Council website.
Nursery places for September 2019
Children are admitted to nursery classes in Bexley schools when they are three or four years old, in the year before they are due to start Reception.
For children born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 you will be able to apply during the Spring term.
The school holds a waiting list for places in all year groups with the exception of Nursery and Reception, based on the school’s admissions criteria in our Lessness Heath Admissions Policy. Parents should enquire directly with the school via the main office with any admissions enquiries.
