The end of another busy week at school!

We have some amazing photos of the children supporting Children in Need today (Take a look at our Facebook page for more details)

I have been blown away today by all the donations we have received for our #LessnessCAN project – just look at this room. I’m so excited to start distributing this next week! Please remember that if you need some help – even for the short term – please do not be afraid to ask – we are being extremely discrete. Just email the admin team or speak to a member of staff and a member of my fantastic inclusion team will be in touch.

This week we have sent home a list of dates around our plans for Christmas in school. Things may look a little different for us this year but we are keen for the children to enjoy the festivities as much as possible! Friday 11th December is Christmas jumper Day and we will be encouraging all children and staff to take part (and before I am asked, yes you can wear jeans!) on this Friday please encourage your children to look as festive as possible as each class will be recording a Christmas music video to share with you. It saddens me that we can not take part in the normal Christmas performances, but we will do our best virtually. If you have any jumpers that your children have grown out of please donate the, to our LessnessCAN boxes over the next few Friday so that we can distribute them to our families in school, ensuring all children feel involved in the day.

Unfortunately under the current guidance we can not allow children to share Christmas cards with each other as we are not allowed to mix items from different households. With this in mind each Class will be creating a large Christmas card to display in the school foyer so that they can still wish their friends around the school a Merry Christmas. As we can not hold Christmas discos in the normal way the children will be having Christmas Parties in class. Please refer to the diary dates sent out this week for further detail of all our festive plans.

Have a lovely weekend – whatever lock down allows you to do!
